A big, bright orange construction cone may soon arrive in your front yard to remind you about SSJ’s annual auction, Under Construction – Building on Our Legacy!
The Auction Construction Crew is working hard to raise money for our fabulous school, so if you would like to join in the fun and spread the news to friends and neighbors, here’s how it works. SSJ has produced some 4-foot-tall wooden orange cones. The idea is to sneak over in the cover of night and strategically place a cone in a friend or neighbor’s yard. The cost for this privilege is a mere donation to our auction. Any amount - from $1 to $100 - would be greatly appreciated. The idea is to keep these cones moving, generating excitement for the “big event” on March 13, 2010!
Ready to join the coning fun? Here are the details:
Request a cone or order
a coning by emailing the Super Secret Coning
Committee (SSCC) at youvebeenconed2010@yahoo.com. Give us your name and contact
information, when you would like to have the cone in your possession,
and the name and address of the super secret recipients you will be
coning in the dark of night. We’ll arrange to get a cone to you,
or, for an additional $10 donation, the SSCC will do the coning
for you!
If you awaken to find a cone in your front yard, let us know via
email if you would like to keep the cone moving and where you’re going
to “plant” it (within the next 24 to 48 hours, please!). Or, for
an additional $10 donation, we’ll pick it up and move it along to the
next lucky family on the list. You may also return the cone to
the school office…just let us know your plans!
How do you make your confidential coning donation?
Simply go to www.ssjauction.com, click on the You’ve Been Coned! link and make your donation with your credit
card. Or, you can send in your donation to the school
office. Just write “Coning Donation” on the memo line.
If you are one of the fortunate families to find the cone in your
yard, be sure to get a photo of it with your family and sign the back
of the cone with a permanent marker. Email your photo to youvebeenconed2010@yahoo.com so we can post it on the auction website.
